Investigations Support Officer

- Ongoing, full time opportunity
- Clerk Grade 5/6 - $102,936 to $113,579 base salary per annum + superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Bathurst location - Regular office attendance required, flexible working may be available in line with the DCS Flexible Working Policy

About Spatial Services Spatial Services, a division of the Department of Customer Service is the key provider of spatial land information services in New South Wales. Spatial Services' integrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package of land and property services including property information, surveying and mapping. Spatial Services' provides land information services to individuals, businesses, government agencies and non-profit organisations throughout NSW, Australia and internationally.

About the role

As an Investigations Support Officer, you will provide frontline support and advice to internal and external stakeholders on complaints management matters.

You will undertake investigation and committee administration activities in accordance with NSW legislation, policies and procedures administered by the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information of NSW (BOSSI).

This includes coordinating the BOSSI Professional Audit & Investigation Committee, managing meeting documentation and follow-up actions, and providing administrative support for complaints, compliance matters, and complex investigations.

Through effective stakeholder engagement and operational support, you will contribute to the maintenance of qualified standards and regulatory compliance across the surveying and spatial information sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Experience providing high-quality administrative support, including coordinating committees, managing meeting processes, preparing documentation, and monitoring follow-up actions.
- Strong knowledge of,



or the ability to quickly acquire, relevant legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and complaint handling processes to ensure compliant and consistent administrative practices.
- Well-developed written communication skills, with experience preparing, reviewing, and administering reports, submissions, correspondence, and evidentiary documentation to support informed decision-making.
- Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills, with the ability to provide accurate information, guidance, and support to, committee members, colleagues, and members of the public.

Essential requirements: Applicants must be willing to undertake the Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or preparedness to undertake an identical or similar employer-sponsored program.
