About the role

We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Installer and Field Service Technician to join our growing team at our South-East Queensland location. This is a full-time position that combines hands-on installation work with technical field service support. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation systems for our clients whilst ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

This role is integral to our operations, as you will be the face of our company in the field, directly contributing to client relationships and project success.

Key responsibilities

- Install irrigation systems including pipework, sprinkler heads, valves, controllers and related components at residential, commercial and agricultural sites

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance

- Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation system faults using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools

- Provide on-site technical support and advice to clients regarding system operation and maintenance

- Conduct site surveys and assessments to recommend appropriate irrigation solutions

- Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety standards, regulations and industry best practices

- Complete accurate job documentation, work orders and technical reports

- Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order

- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and ensure satisfaction with completed work

- Travel to various job sites within the region as required

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in irrigation system installation and field service work

- Solid understanding of irrigation design principles, components and systems

- Competency in using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently





- Valid driver's licence with a reliable vehicle for travel between job sites

- Ability to work safely and follow health and safety protocols

- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach

- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour and work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Reliability and punctuality

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in irrigation or horticulture (preferred but not essential)

- Experience with irrigation controllers and smart watering systems (preferred)
