The Role
We're looking for a strategic and operationally robust IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Manager to lead the technology foundation that runs and secures the entire business.
This is not a keep-the-lights-on IT role.
As Airmaster invests in digital products, AI and data platforms, and a major ERP transformation, everything we build sits on top of the infrastructure and security capabilities you'll own. Reporting to the Group Executive General Manager – Technology and leading a team of direct reports and managed service vendors, you'll set the strategy and standards for cloud and on-premises infrastructure, workplace technology, identity, networking, endpoint management, cybersecurity, and business continuity – across a national footprint and a hybrid internal / managed-service delivery model.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop and execute the IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security strategy, aligned to the broader Technology Strategy and business growth
- Own Airmaster's infrastructure, workplace device technology, and cybersecurity capabilities – ensuring they are secure, resilient, reliable, and scalable
- Lead the cybersecurity capability, strengthening resilience against ransomware, credential compromise, and emerging threats – and drive the organisation to ISO 27001 certification
- Provide strategic governance of outsourced infrastructure managed service providers while leading the internal team responsible for workplace technology, networking, identity, and endpoint management
- Drive infrastructure modernisation, cloud optimisation, automation, and technology lifecycle management
- Lead business continuity and disaster recovery – ensuring critical services can withstand and rapidly recover from cyber incidents and infrastructure failures
- Manage technology budgets, infrastructure investment, and strategic vendor relationships to maximise operational performance and commercial value
- Partner with the Digital Platforms & Products, Enterprise Operations, Data, and AI teams to provide the secure, fit-for-purpose foundation their work depends on
- Act as Airmaster's primary liaison with Daikin on IT infrastructure and cyber security governance, compliance, and strategic initiatives
- Build and develop a high-performing team with a culture of operational excellence and continual improvement
Key Competencies
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant industry certifications in infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, or IT service management are highly regarded
- 10 years' experience across IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security, or Technology Operations, including significant leadership experience within a medium-to-large enterprise
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise infrastructure and cyber security functions – spanning cloud, networks, workplace technology, identity, operational resilience, and technology governance
- Proven experience managing outsourced infrastructure managed service providers, strategic vendors, and complex commercial technology relationships
- Track record establishing and maintaining cyber security governance, risk management frameworks, and business continuity capabilities; exposure to ISO 27001 / ISO 27005 or comparable standards highly regarded
- Experience leading infrastructure modernisation, cloud transformation, and technology lifecycle initiatives
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, infrastructure standards, and operational governance
- Demonstrated experience managing technology budgets, investment planning, and vendor performance to deliver measurable outcomes
- Experience operating within hybrid internal and outsourced delivery models; experience within multi-national or parent-company governance environments (e.g. Daikin or similar) is advantageous
- Current Australian driver's licence
Personal Attributes & Skills
- An excellent communicator and people leader who builds and develops high-performing technical teams
- Strategic thinker who can translate technology capability into clear business value and enterprise risk reduction
- Solid commercial acumen, with confidence in vendor negotiation, contract governance, and budget management
- Trusted advisor able to engage and influence executive leadership and business stakeholders across the organisation
- Pragmatic and outcomes-focused, balancing security, resilience, availability, performance, and cost
- A collaborative operator who works effectively alongside senior technology leaders and cross-functional teams
- Curious and adaptable, with a genuine interest in automation, AI-assisted operations, and continual improvement
- Willingness to travel across Australian sites for stakeholder engagement as required
