Role DescriptionThe IT Support Executive is responsible for providing reliable and efficient technical support to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, devices, applications, and workplace technology. The role involves responding to user support requests, diagnosing technical issues, implementing solutions, and maintaining a high standard of IT service delivery.
Key responsibilities include managing and resolving IT support tickets, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, configuring computers and peripheral devices, and assisting with user accounts, system access, and software applications. The IT Support Executive will monitor recurring issues, escalate complex incidents when required, and maintain accurate records of technical problems and resolutions.
The role also involves supporting IT asset management, software updates, system maintenance, data protection, and basic cybersecurity practices. The IT Support Executive is expected to contribute to IT documentation, knowledge-base resources, and process improvements while ensuring users receive clear, professional, and timely technical assistance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology,
Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, networking, and common IT troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, user account administration, printers, mobile devices, and basic network configuration.
- Knowledge of IT service management principles, ticketing systems, remote support tools, and IT asset management is an advantage.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues systematically.
- Positive understanding of IT security, access controls, data protection, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to users.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Customer-focused, proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively with users and cross-functional teams.
