? We’re Hiring: IT Support Officer

We are seeking a reliable, service-oriented, and technically capable IT Support Officer to provide day-to-day technical assistance to employees and maintain a stable and efficient IT environment. This role is ideal for individuals with strong troubleshooting skills who enjoy solving technical problems and supporting users in a fast-paced professional environment.
? Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, email accounts, access permissions, and system configurations.
- Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, business applications, and other workplace software.
- Assist with network connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Monitor and respond to IT support tickets, service requests, and technical incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment, software licenses, and support activities.
- Assist with system updates, software installations, security patches, and routine maintenance.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment setup and account management.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff, vendors, or external service providers when required.
- Assist with IT security practices, data protection, backups, and access control procedures.
- Prepare and maintain IT documentation, user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and technical records.
- Provide basic technical training and guidance to employees on IT systems and applications.
- Support IT projects, system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and other technology initiatives.
✅ Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, technical support, or a similar role is an advantage.
- Good understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, software, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business applications is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong willingness to learn new technologies and IT systems.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent are an advantage.
