Role DescriptionWe are seeking a responsive, technical, and service-oriented IT Support Officer / IT Support Specialist to join our internal IT operations and helpdesk team. In this entry-to-junior level role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for technical assistance, ensuring smooth hardware, software, and network operations across the organization. Working closely with Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, and IT Security leads, you will troubleshoot hardware failures, resolve operating system issues, manage user access accounts, and support onboarding tech setups for new hires.

Responsibilities include managing incoming helpdesk tickets, deploying laptop and desktop builds, configuring office peripherals, managing cloud directory services (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace), and maintaining accurate IT inventory assets. Success in this position requires a strong technical troubleshooting mindset, solid knowledge of operating systems and basic networking, excellent interpersonal communication, and a dedication to delivering prompt, high-quality technical support.

Qualifications

- Education &

• Certifications: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Administration, or a related field
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or ITIL certifications are considered an advantage.
- Operating Systems Support: Practical experience configuring, updating, and troubleshooting Windows (10/11), macOS, and basic Linux environments on desktop and mobile endpoints.
- Helpdesk &
- Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with logging, prioritizing, escalating,



and resolving end-user requests using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools (e.g., Jira Service Management, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or Freshservice).
- Hardware &
- Peripheral Maintenance: Hands-on capability to diagnose and repair laptop/desktop hardware issues, configure dock stations, setup office printers/scanners, and manage AV equipment in conference rooms.
- Identity &
- Access Management (IAM): Basic administrative experience managing user profiles, group permissions, and password resets in cloud directories or domain environments (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory, Google Workspace, or Okta).
- Networking Fundamentals: Practical understanding of basic TCP/IP networking concepts, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi configuration, VPN client setups, and Ethernet patch cabling troubleshooting.
- Software &
- SaaS Administration: Ability to deploy and troubleshoot common productivity tools, enterprise communication software, and antivirus/EDR agents (e.g., Microsoft 365, Slack, Teams, Zoom, or CrowdStrike).
- Asset Management &
- Documentation: Strong attention to detail in maintaining physical IT inventory logs, tracking hardware assignments, and writing step-by-step Knowledge Base (KB) guides for end users.
- Communication &
- Customer Service: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a patient, empathetic, and professional approach to translating technical solutions to non-technical staff.
