As an Iteration Lead, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of squad deliverables within an agile development environment. You'll work across multiple business units and projects, leading sprint ceremonies, managing delivery priorities, maintaining stakeholder alignment, and helping teams achieve their objectives each iteration.
You'll be a trusted delivery partner, providing visibility of progress, identifying and removing impediments, managing dependencies, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You'll also coach and mentor team members in agile practices, helping drive consistent and effective ways of working across the team.
This role is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane.
Day to day, you'll:
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, demonstrations, and other agile ceremonies.
- Coordinate and manage squad activities to ensure delivery objectives and timelines are achieved.
- Partner with stakeholders across business and technology teams to deliver quality outcomes.
- Manage product backlogs, dependencies, capacity planning, and delivery roadmaps.
- Track and communicate sprint progress, delivery milestones, team velocity, and key risks.
- Remove impediments and support teams to maintain focus on agreed objectives.
- Coach and mentor team members in agile methodologies and delivery practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You hold a degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Your experience includes leading agile teams and coordinating complex delivery schedules.
- You'll bring practical knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Lean, Prince2, or similar delivery frameworks.
- You're confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining quality and stakeholder engagement.
- You have solid verbal and written communication skills and can influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Your understanding of user stories, testing practices, and software delivery lifecycles enables effective collaboration across technology teams.
- You'll be comfortable coaching and mentoring others in agile practices and continuous improvement.
- You're experienced using agile tools and delivery methodologies to support software product development.
- Your background in financial services, superannuation, or other regulated industries will be highly regarded.
