The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with strong experience across backend services, frontend development, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices.
You will play a key role in delivering a new Notification Engine MVP, contributing across the full development lifecycle from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, and knowledge transfer. Working closely with experienced engineers and technical stakeholders, you will help build a scalable platform supporting campaign creation, audience engagement, reporting, and multi-channel notifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services and data models
- Build modern, responsive frontend applications and user experiences
- Create REST APIs and service integrations
- Implement authentication, permissions, validation, and lifecycle management rules
- Integrate with identity and access management platforms such as Okta
- Develop reporting capabilities, dashboards, and analytics features
- Build notification and messaging workflows across multiple channels
- Write high-quality unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on design, development, and delivery
- Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities
- Participate in rollout, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Experience
Technical Skills
- 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong commercial experience with Java and Kotlin
- Frontend development experience using ReactJS
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience building backend services using Spring Boot or a similar JVM framework
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems
- Experience with relational databases and schema migrations
- Familiarity with authentication technologies including SSO, OAuth, OIDC, and Okta
- Experience working with event-driven architectures and messaging systems
- Strong testing practices covering unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Soft Skills
- Comfortable working across frontend, backend, and integration layers
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Proactive approach to identifying and managing risks
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on team success
Highly Desirable
- Experience within SaaS organisations
- Experience building reporting dashboards and analytics solutions
- Exposure to access control, audit logging, and administration tooling
- Experience delivering MVPs and transitioning solutions into support teams
- Experience with large-scale user targeting, CSV data processing, or directory/group management solutions
