The Junior Accountant reports to the Finance Manager of the Australian subsidiary and is responsible for day‑to‑day accounting operations, cash management, tax compliance, and coordination with the Group Finance team. This role requires a working knowledge of both PRC GAAP and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), with English as the working language.

Key Responsibilities

2.1 Daily Operations – AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation & Reimbursements

- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoice verification, data entry, and payment processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date account balances.
- Manually reconcile entries recorded in the OA system and handle travel reimbursement and administrative procurement transactions.
- Review employee expense reimbursement claims to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage daily cash receipts and payments, prepare daily cash reports, and ensure fund security.
- Review and post various expenses, including advertising, transportation, and routine fixed costs.
- Handle rebate and brand fund accounting for the subsidiary.
- Maintain and manage the fixed asset register.

2.2 Month‑End Closing & Reporting

- Participate in the month‑end closing process, ensuring all tasks are completed within strict deadlines.
- Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and related management reports.
- Handle GST‑related matters and lodgements, including the preparation and submission of monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
- Assist in annual corporate income tax returns.
- Support FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax) reporting as required.
- Cooperate with internal and external audits.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).

2.3 Systems & Process





- Process financial transactions in the SAP system (noting that some functionalities are currently limited).
- Perform data analysis and processing using Excel; create and maintain financial templates for recurring use.
- Support the continuous improvement of financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in the rollout, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP modules for the Australian subsidiary.
- Ensure the integrity and completeness of financial data.

2.4 Local Support

- Provide timely financial support and respond to enquiries from local employees.
- Address finance‑related queries and needs raised by onsite staff.
- Ensure all local finance operations are conducted in full compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Assist the Finance Manager in monthly/annual financial analysis.
- Support finance work related to vehicle sales, parts sales, and after‑sales service.
- Complete other finance‑related tasks as assigned by the department.

3. Qualifications 3.1 Education

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Holding a junior accounting professional certificate is a plus.

3.2 Experience

- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in the automotive industry or in a multinational company is preferred.
- Overseas study or work experience is an advantage.

3.3 Technical & Professional Skills

- Familiarity with PRC GAAP and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
- Knowledge of the Australian tax system, including GST, BAS, and FBT.
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Basic financial analysis capability.
- Understanding of AP/AR, general ledger, and other fundamental accounting processes.

3.4 Language Skills English proficient as a working language (fluent in speaking, reading, and writing)

3.5 Other Requirements

- Willingness to be based in Australia (expatriate assignment).
- Hold a valid Australian work visa, Australian citizenship, or permanent residency is preferred.
- Solid cross‑cultural communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail‑oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
