About the role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team on a part-time basis at our head office located in Canberra ACT 2600. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career in a supportive and professional workplace. In this role, you will provide essential financial support to our organisation, working collaboratively with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial processes and reporting.
This position offers valuable exposure to various accounting functions and the chance to contribute meaningfully to our financial operations whilst building your expertise in the accounting field.
Key Responsibilities
- Process NDIS claims and payments through the Myplace portal.
- Prepare and submit invoices and payment requests via the Myplace portal for NDIA-managed participants.
- Manage invoicing for self-managed NDIS participants.
- Conduct fortnightly financial and NDIS billing audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile remittance advices, invoices and payments.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, with effective monitoring and utilisation of financial resources.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure NDIS billing processes are completed within required timeframes.
MYOB & Financial Management
Using MYOB, you will be responsible for:
- Completing daily bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
- Managing the weekly accounts payable process and ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
- Assisting with Plan Management activities.
- Managing accounts receivable for Plan Managed participants, including submitting and monitoring claims through the Myplace portal.
- Monitoring outstanding accounts and following up on payments where required.
- Processing payroll accurately and on time, including maintaining payroll records and supporting payroll-related administration.
- Supporting the broader finance team with day-to-day accounting and financial administration.
