ExecuJet MRO Services is a global leader in business aviation maintenance, providing world‑class support across Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe and the Middle East. Our Sydney Head Office, based in Mascot, is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Junior Accountant to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Finance & Commercial Manager, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, while contributing to financial reporting, compliance activities, process improvements, and strategic financial support.
About the Role:
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the financial performance of the business through accurate reporting, reconciliations, cash flow management, and financial analysis. You will work closely with various stakeholders across the organisation and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including revenue management, intercompany transactions, compliance, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations and financial reports.
- Deliver management reporting and analysis to support business performance.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting compliance.
Accounts & Cash Management
- Manage invoicing, credit control and intercompany transactions.
- Perform reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Liaise with banks and key stakeholders on finance matters.
Budgeting & Business Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Provide insights on costs, trends, projects and capital investments.
- Assist with strategic initiatives and ad hoc financial analysis.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare BAS, tax and statutory reporting requirements.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Improve financial systems, processes and internal controls.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
- CPA/CA commenced or willingness to undertake professional studies.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation requirements.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Concur Expense – desirable.
