Junior Cloud Engineer / Associate Cloud Engineer / Cloud Support EngineerRole DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic, technical, and analytical Junior Cloud Engineer / Associate Cloud Engineer / Cloud Support Engineer to join our cloud operations and infrastructure team. In this entry-to-early-career role, you will play a crucial part in supporting, deploying, and maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure. Working closely with Senior Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, System Administrators, and Software Development teams, you will assist with cloud provision management, monitor workload performance, troubleshoot deployment issues, and automate routine operational tasks.

Responsibilities include configuring cloud compute and storage resources, managing identity and access permissions, assisting with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, responding to infrastructure alerts, and documenting architecture standards. Success in this position requires a solid grounding in cloud computing concepts, fundamental networking knowledge, basic scripting abilities, a strong diagnostic mindset, and a passion for growing expertise in modern cloud and container technologies.

Qualifications

- Education &
- Certifications:

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; entry-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / Administrator, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer) are highly preferred.
- Cloud Platform Foundations: Core understanding of foundational cloud services across major providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP),



including virtual compute instances (EC2/VMs), cloud storage (S3/Blob), virtual private networks (VPC/VNets), and load balancing.
- Linux &
- Command Line Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), shell navigation, file management, system administration, and bash scripting via CLI.
- Networking &
- Security Basics: Practical grasp of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, firewalls, subnets, Security Groups/Network ACLs, VPNs, and SSH access controls.
- Identity &
- Access Management (IAM): Understanding of cloud security best practices, roles, policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and applying the principle of least privilege in IAM configuration.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) &
- Automation: Basic exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or ARM/Bicep templates).
- Containers &
- CI/CD Pipelines: Basic coursework or hands-on experience with containerization fundamentals (Docker) and understanding CI/CD automation concepts (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
- Monitoring &
- Support Operations: Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and operational alert tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, or Grafana) to isolate system errors and performance bottlenecks.
- Problem-Solving &
- Incident Response: Solid diagnostic and logical troubleshooting skills to isolate infrastructure issues, perform root-cause analysis, and write clear technical Incident Reports.

- Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document cloud environments, write standard operating procedures (SOPs), and collaborate smoothly across cross-functional engineering teams.
