We're looking to grow & expand our Professional Data Team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Data Scientist at RDA, you'll work to understand client problems and use those insights to shape how we develop and grow the Human Insights Data that powers our geoTribes Platform.

You'll refine our codebase, including the methodologies and pipelines that build our Human Insights Data stack, always working with an understanding of the broader purpose your code serves. You'll work within a professional technical team, primarily in Python and SQL, with occasional use of QGIS. AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex are part of our wider toolkit, used to deliver highly effective outcomes that serve the purpose of each project.

You'll build and interpret sophisticated statistical models, including generalised linear models, regression trees, ensemble methods and clustering. Solid model statistics are only half the job. You'll also validate your work against your own real-world understanding of people, places and demographics and know it's right because you understand what you've built.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Use your critical thinking, analytical and engineering skills to continuously improve our Human Insights Data Stack.

· Work with clients to understand their business objectives and provide analytical solutions to meet their needs using our geoTribes Platform and the Human Insights Data in it.

· Present and articulate analytical findings,



sometimes to non-technical audiences.

· Take responsibility for running high-quality projects with on-time delivery.

· Apply and develop your statistical skills in predictive modelling, data fusion, segmentation & geospatial analysis with Python and other languages/tools.

· Develop a practical understanding of AWS & Cloudflare services as they relate to our geoTribes Platform.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Degree with a strong quantitative major in a primary discipline such as physics, statistics, applied mathematics, actuarial studies, computer science or engineering.

· Multidisciplinary degrees, such as double degrees or majors would be highly regarded.

· Strong understanding of statistical concepts and their application to real world problems is essential.

· Work experience in analytics, data science or quantitative market research is desirable. Recent graduates with a strong academic record and relevant work experience are welcome to apply.

· Minimum Distinction average academic record.

· Proficient in a programming language e.g. Python, SQL, SAS, R or MATLAB.

· Familiarity with AI programming tools e.g. Claude Code or Codex.

· Experience in data engineering, AWS platform, GIS software or analysis would be an advantage.

· Excellent verbal & written English.
