About the Role

Are you a creative, energetic Junior Graphic Designer looking for hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a versatile team player for a 3-month contract to assist with design production while running our front-of-house operations.

This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You will split your time between creative graphic design, client customer service, and reception duties. If you love design, enjoy chatting with people, and thrive in a multitask-heavy environment, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Graphic Design & Production Prep

- Design and layout marketing materials, signage, business collateral, and promotional items.
- Prepare print-ready artwork files and check client-supplied files for print suitability.
- Work with clients to make artwork adjustments and revisions based on feedback.

2. Reception & Customer Service

- Serve as the friendly, welcoming face and voice of our shop at the front counter and over the phone.
- Answer incoming calls, handle general email inquiries, and manage customer pickups.
- Assist walk-in customers with quotes, order intake, and basic product queries.

3. Sales & Customer Support

- Identify opportunities to upsell print/design products and services to walk-in and phone clients.




- Prepare accurate quotes and process customer payments at the counter.

About You

- Design Background: Qualified with a relevant degree/diploma in Graphic Design or equivalent hands-on experience. Profiecient in Adobe suites including InDesign and Illustrator.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, positive, and customer-first attitude.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for detail, proofreading, and file preparation.
- Punctual & Organized: Able to manage your time effectively between front-counter walk-ins and design deadlines.
