A day in the life as a Laboratory Technician (Junior)

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be learning by doing.

You’ll spend your day preparing and testing concrete samples, grinding and crushing cylinders, and accurately recording results that contribute to real construction projects. You’ll also help maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment.

What it takes to be successful as a Laboratory Technician (Junior):

- A strong willingness to learn and grow

- Great attention to detail

- Comfortable with hands-on, physical work

The Minimum Requirements to be Considered:

- Recently finished school (or similar entry-level background)

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

- Enthusiasm to learn and be part of a team

- What you'll need to learn in the first 90 days to excel at this job:
- Core concrete testing procedures and lab techniques

- Safe operation of laboratory equipment

- Accurate data recording and reporting

- Lab organisation and safety standards

- Understanding how your work supports real construction outcomes

Work Schedule & Location:

- Casual role based in Yatala (lab-based position)

- Chance to transition into full-time employment after probation
- For the right person, we will support completion of a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques
