Role Description The Lead Strategy role at Red Española de Estudios del Desarrollo is a part-time remote position focused on guiding the organization’s strategic direction and impact. The person in this role will analyze sector trends, assess organizational priorities, and develop medium- and long-term strategic plans aligned with the network’s mission. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating strategic initiatives across teams, preparing briefings and presentations for leadership, and monitoring progress against key performance indicators.

The Lead

Strategy will collaborate with research, communications, and operations staff to ensure that programs, partnerships, and resources are aligned with strategic objectives. The role also involves facilitating strategic workshops, gathering feedback from members and partners, and recommending adjustments to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in strategy development, strategic planning, and organizational design, preferably within academic, research, or nonprofit networks.




- Solid skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis, including data interpretation, impact assessment, and performance measurement.
- Proficiency in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports, presentations, and policy or strategy briefs.
- Background in development studies, social sciences, public policy, economics, or a related field; advanced degree is an asset.
- Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours effectively, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet agreed timelines.
- Fluency in Spanish; working proficiency in English is highly desirable for international collaboration.
- Familiarity with issues related to sustainable development, social justice, and international cooperation is a strong advantage.
