Essential Plumbing and Gas | Brisbane and Greater Brisbane Essential Plumbing and Gas is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Plumber to help deliver a strong pipeline of commercial and multi-residential projects across Brisbane.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in running an organised site, maintaining high-quality workmanship and keeping projects moving. You’ll work under our PM and site manager to make sure the jobs are running efficiently.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and coordinating plumbers, apprentices and subcontractors
- Delivering commercial and multi-residential hydraulic works
- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and construction programs
- Planning daily activities, labour, materials and equipment
- Coordinating and installing in-ground drainage, rough-ins, stacks, water services, fit-offs and testing
- Monitoring productivity, quality and project progress
- Maintaining high safety, presentation and housekeeping standards
- Providing practical guidance and training to apprentices and junior tradespeople
- Identifying potential delays or variations and communicating them early

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A current Queensland plumbing and drainage licence
- Solid commercial or multi-residential plumbing experience




- Previous experience leading a crew or running smaller sections of a project (Highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic plans, specifications and relevant Australian Standards
- The ability to plan ahead and coordinate labour and materials
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to site challenges
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Clear communication and the confidence to deal with builders and site management
- A strong commitment to safety, accountability and teamwork

Experience with larger multi-storey developments, suspended drainage, cast-in systems, fire services or civil infrastructure will be highly regarded.
