About the Role
Reporting to the lifestyle Supervisor you will assist in delivering person-centred lifestyle programs that promote independence, social connection and positive wellbeing for our residents. You will support community outings, activities and direct care under supervision, provide social and emotional support to residents and work collaboratively alongside volunteers, student placements and Allied Health Professionals.
No two days are exactly the same — and that's what makes this role genuinely enjoyable. You will build real relationships with residents and make a visible,
meaningful contribution to their quality of life every shift.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A genuine warmth and ability to connect with older people from all backgrounds, cultures and abilities
- A positive, encouraging and patient approach to building rapport with residents
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- A current full driver's licence (mandatory)
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Personal Care or Community Services
- Food Handling Certificate and/or First Aid Level 2
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
