Key Responsibilities

- Participating in changes to the systems from a production support perspective.
- Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests using ServiceNow.
- Owning and executing major events such as weekend maintenance activities, disaster recovery tests, etc.
- Performing administration to include installs, upgrades, configuration, tuning, and monitoring of various operating system tools and supporting components such as patches, new builds, etc.
- Working closely with senior engineers to make continuous improvements to production environments and procedures.
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support roster for after-hours support.
- Documenting and keeping up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for Production Support, as required.




- Develop and document best practices based on recurring production issues.
- Monitoring production applications. Set up and refine monitoring alerts.
- Participate in daily operational and production support meetings.

Essential Technical Skills / Experience
- Good understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6, 7 and 8).
- Good understanding of Red Hat High Availability Clustering (RGManager & Pacemaker).
- Scripting: Proficient in Bash and/or Python.
- Operations and automation using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
- Operation of Red Hat Satellite and servers registered with Satellite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Self-motivated and goal-driven to run with individual projects to meet business needs.
- Strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn.
