About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Technician to join our maintenance team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food production equipment through proactive maintenance, repairs, and servicing. This role involves collaborating with production teams, addressing equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, with the potential for overtime, weekend and after-hours work as required

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems




- Serve as the point of contact for breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime
- Maintain maintenance records and utilise online systems
- Support new machinery installation and maintenance team activities
- Adhere to safety and hygiene standards, ensuring a clean work environment

What you Bring

- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience in facility maintenance, with skills in welding, grinding, and cutting
- Familiarity with HACCP and GMP standards
- Working knowledge of HACCP and GMP standards for food safety compliance
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering, Fitting, or Machining
- Mechanical Trade Certificate as a mandatory qualification requirement
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing
- FMCG manufacturing experience is acceptable in lieu of specific food manufacturing background
- Experience with CMMS systems (MEX highly regarded) and TIG welding (advantageous)
- Scissor lift experience and qualifications (ideal)
- Positive written and verbal communication skills
- Australian residency, permanent citizenship or full working visa
