Summary

As Manager – Finance Business Partnering, you will lead the delivery of high-quality financial advice, support and assurance to BCE schools, helping strengthen financial management and long-term sustainability across the system. This role works closely with schools and senior leaders to support effective budgeting, forecasting, reporting, resourcing decisions and financial governance. You will lead the school finance business partnering function, providing strategic and operational guidance that helps schools make informed decisions and operate within approved budgets and financial frameworks.

You will also provide leadership to the Support Accountant team, building capability, consistency and a strong service culture that supports schools to deliver exceptional outcomes for students.

About The Opportunity In this position you will be responsible for:

- Lead the delivery of school finance business partnering services, providing strategic and operational financial advice to BCE schools and senior leaders
- Monitor and report on school financial performance, including expenditure, revenue, staffing and budget position, identifying risks, opportunities and recommendations
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of school budgets, forecasts,



financial reporting and analysis to support effective management of school resources
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the Support Accountant team to ensure consistent, high-quality financial support is delivered to schools
- Lead continuous improvement across school financial systems, reporting tools, processes and procedures to improve efficiency and decision-making
- Coordinate internal financial school reviews, delivering practical insights and recommendations to strengthen financial performance, sustainability and governance
- Provide financial oversight and advice for school capital and infrastructure projects, ensuring expenditure is monitored and aligned with approved budgets
- Contribute as a member of the Finance Leadership Team, supporting collaboration, continuous improvement and a high-performing service culture

About You To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

- Strong experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis within a complex operating setting
- The ability to provide clear, practical and strategic financial advice to leaders, teams and stakeholders
- Experience leading, coaching or developing a team to deliver consistent, high-quality financial support and service
- Strong judgement and the ability to identify financial risks, opportunities and improvement areas, translating these into practical recommendations
- A collaborative and service-focused approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships and support capability across schools and teams
- A commitment to sound financial stewardship, governance, accountability and continuous improvement
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in accounting, commerce, business or a related field
- Membership of CAANZ, CPA or an equivalent professional accounting body

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:




- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement
