- Temporary, Clerk Grade 11/12 ($154,231 - $178,369 per annum) opportunity up to 6 months based in Mascot, NSW.

About the role The Manager, Organisation and Business Support leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for coordinating, monitoring and reporting on core business support functions for Aboriginal Affairs NSW. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across a broad portfolio, ensuring systems, processes and reporting frameworks are effective, compliant and aligned with organisational priorities.

Key responsibilities include oversight of risk, workplace health and safety, business planning, establishment management, operational reporting and coordination of financial and workforce-related information in partnership with the relevant corporate functions. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, including People, Culture and Talent and Finance, to support effective planning, decision-making and continuous improvement.

The Manager, Organisation and Business Support also plays a key role in performance monitoring, business planning and the preparation of reports and advice for senior leaders. Through robust coordination and collaboration, the role helps ensure business support functions operate cohesively and efficiently, enabling Aboriginal Affairs NSW to meet its strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working across a varied portfolio, can build strong relationships, and is motivated by supporting effective operations and decision-making for Aboriginal Affairs NSW.

We're Looking For

- People Leadership: Experience managing a multidisciplinary team of Organisation and business support staff to enable the smooth oversight and operation of Aboriginal Affairs NSW.

- Governance and Compliance:



Experience overseeing the development of the Aboriginal Affairs NSW Risk Register, WHS Framework, Business Plan and financial reporting processes.

- Executive Reporting: Experience leading and overseeing effective reporting functions for the Aboriginal Affairs NSW Executive and Premier’s Department.

- Business Review Leadership: Experience leading the Quarterly Business Review (QBR), ensuring accurate discussions and reporting across Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety, Budget, Risk and Business Planning.

- Project Management: Experience leading and overseeing all aspects of project development and implementation across a portfolio of complex projects, including business cases, project plans, governance, resource management and delivery to time, budget and quality standards.

- Monitoring and Evaluation: Experience developing and implementing strategies and tools for continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation and performance measurement.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience managing stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issue resolution to support engagement and the successful delivery of project outcomes.

- Advisory and Decision Support: Experience providing expert advice on emerging project issues and presenting recommendations to support delivery aligned with plans, budgets, timeframes and policy objectives.
