Role Description The Marketplace Specialist / E-commerce Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for managing and optimizing product listings across online marketplaces. This role involves monitoring pricing, inventory, and promotions to ensure competitiveness and visibility, as well as analyzing performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth. The specialist will handle customer inquiries, coordinate with internal partners or suppliers, and support sales initiatives to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day tasks include updating product content, tracking marketplace policies, managing orders and returns, and preparing regular performance reports. The role requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced digital environment.

Qualifications

Strong Business Negotiation skills for managing marketplace terms, pricing discussions, and vendor or partner relationships.

Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret sales reports, traffic data,



and marketplace metrics to inform strategy and decision-making.

Effective Communication skills for clear coordination with internal teams, external partners, and marketplace support.

Customer Service skills to resolve inquiries, handle complaints professionally, and maintain high satisfaction levels.

Sales skills to support promotional planning, upselling opportunities, and conversion rate improvement across listings.

Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, eBay, other marketplaces) and basic understanding of SEO for product listings.

Proficiency with spreadsheets and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for tracking inventory, pricing, and performance.

Ability to work remotely with solid time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Prior experience in online retail, marketplace management, or digital sales is preferred.
