Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Math/STEAM/AP Math Teacher at Cuidado del adulto mayor. The teacher will design and deliver engaging online lessons in core math subjects and AP-level math, integrating STEAM concepts where appropriate.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, assigning and grading coursework, providing timely feedback, and supporting learners through virtual platforms. The teacher will track student progress, adjust instruction based on learning needs, and communicate regularly with caregivers or program coordinators to align educational goals. The role also involves participating in virtual meetings, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to institutional policies and standards.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of middle and high school math, including algebra, geometry, precalculus, and AP-level coursework.




- Ability to integrate STEAM principles into math instruction and design project-based or inquiry-based learning activities.
- Experience teaching in online or hybrid environments, using virtual classroom tools and learning management systems.
- Clear, supportive communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to learners with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field; teaching certification or relevant credential is preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and sensitivity to the needs of adult learners and caregivers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to plan lessons, meet deadlines, and manage part time remote responsibilities.
- Prior experience preparing students for AP Math exams or standardized assessments is an advantage.
