About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Drafter to join our team. Initially a 3-6 month contract basis. As a Mechanical Design Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics to support the development and production of mechanical systems and components. This is a contract role located in Belrose, NSW.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

The contract duration for this role is 3-6 months.

What you'll be doing

- Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, some piping and structural design, walkways, ladders, chutes, materials handling equipment.

- Develop detailed design documentation including part lists, assembly drawings, and manufacturing specifications

- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure design intent is accurately captured and communicated

- Maintain version control and document management for all design outputs

- Provide technical support and clarification to manufacturing and assembly teams

- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for mechanical design and drafting

What we're looking for





- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Design Drafter or Mechanical Draftsperson

- Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor

- Proficiency in any of the following CAD software platforms is acceptable: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor

- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately to specifications

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
