Mechanical Engineering Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for mechanical engineering specialists to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models developed by the world's leading AI research labs. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems — from fluid dynamics and thermodynamics to structural mechanics and materials science. Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Advanced Problems: Craft challenging mechanical engineering problems across domains including FEA (Finite Element Analysis), heat transfer, kinematics, fluid mechanics, and material science to rigorously test AI performance

Author Ground-Truth Solutions: Develop detailed, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that AI models learn from — your work sets the standard

Audit Technical Reasoning: Evaluate AI-generated outputs including CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (ASME, ISO, and others)

Identify and Correct Reasoning Failures: Pinpoint logical errors in AI reasoning — such as flawed force distributions, energy conservation violations,



or incorrect unit derivations — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance Who You Are Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline

Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, mechatronics, or manufacturing processes

Able to communicate complex physical phenomena and technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing

Highly detail-oriented — you catch errors in mathematical derivations, unit conversions, and physical system constraints that others miss

No prior AI experience required — we'll get you up to speed Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or evaluation systems

Proficiency in engineering software such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar tools
