The Appointment We are partnering with a highly regarded engineering organisation to expand their established Perth design team, with several new contract opportunities available across Mechanical and Piping Design.
These roles will support a portfolio of significant mining and minerals processing projects, including a major project that is progressing through the early stages of detailed design. Working as part of an experienced and well-established drawing office, you will contribute to the design and development of mechanical, materials handling and piping packages across complex project environments.
The Role Depending on your area of expertise and level of seniority, your responsibilities may include:
- Mechanical and/or piping design and drafting across mining and minerals processing projects
- Design of conveyors, chutes, bins, mills, pumping systems and associated platework
- Development of piping layouts and detailed designs
- Producing and updating drawings throughout detailed design
- Working closely with engineers, designers and project stakeholders
- Contributing to design reviews and ensuring drawings meet project and client requirements
- Supporting projects from early detailed design through subsequent project phases
The Apointee We are interested in speaking with Designers across a range of experience levels who bring:
- Previous Mechanical or Piping Design experience
- Experience within mining, resources, minerals processing or heavy industry
- SMP experience will be highly regarded
- AutoCAD experience is strongly preferred
- Plant 3D experience is highly desirable for Piping Designers
- MicroStation experience will also be considered, particularly where you have some exposure to AutoCAD
- Strong technical drawing and design capability
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team
