Position Profile: As a member of the Kalgoorlie Health Campus Medical Education Unit (MEU), the Medical Education Support Officer (MESO) provides comprehensive administrative, secretarial and training support services to facilitate the effective operation of the unit. The role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the MEU's day-to-day activities, while delivering high-level administrative assistance to the Goldfields Director of Clinical Training and Medical Education Officer to ensure the smooth delivery of medical education and training programs.

This is a Fixed Term Part Time Appointment (0.5 FTE) until 01/07/2027, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency, based at Kalgoorlie Health Campus.

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrated relevant experience and high level of skills in an administrative or secretarial role including word processing, minute taking and data entry.
2. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to liaise with people in a variety of contexts and at all levels of an organisation.
3. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in relaying information.
4. Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills.
5. Ability to show initiative and work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
6. Demonstrated high level computer skills, particularly relating to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.

Desirable Criteria

1. Previous administrative experience in a health care environment.
2. Current knowledge and commitment to Equal Chance, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety in all aspects of employment and service delivery.
