Brighton Regional Doctors is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their collaborative, friendly practice team on a casual or part-time basis. An immediate start is available. The practice is open Mondays to Thursdays 8.30am to 5.30pm and enjoys shorter Fridays from 8.30am to 5pm.
As a Medical Receptionist your role will always be interesting, with duties including but not limited to customer service, taking phone calls, triaging patients, making appointments and accurate data entry, to name a few. You will need permanent work rights in Australia or be eligible for such to be successful in this role. Working in this fast-paced environment the following attributes are essential:
- excellent interpersonal skills
- ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people
- ability to work independently or as part of a team
- proficiency in use of keyboard/computer
- maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality
Desirable attributes include
- previous experience in a general practice or medical environment
- proficiency in Windows operating system
- knowledge of medical software
- understanding of medical terminology
- competence in the use of relevant equipment
- training or experience in Medicare item numbers and private health funds
