The Impact You'll Make

As a Mentor in our Parent Pathways team, you'll be more than a mentor—you'll be a trusted partner in someone's journey. You'll help parents from diverse backgrounds uncover their strengths, navigate challenges, and take meaningful steps toward employment, education, and community engagement. Your work will directly shape brighter futures for families in the Innisfail region.

What You'll Do

- Provide one-on-one mentoring and group sessions to support parents and carers in building job readiness skills.

- Assist participants in developing personalised future plans, from career pathways to training opportunities.

- Connect families with local services, community activities, and support networks.

- Maintain accurate records and progress reports to ensure tailored, effective support.

- Collaborate with a passionate, supportive team to share ideas, resources, and best practices.

What You'll Bring

- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

- An eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.

- A proactive, flexible approach to problem-solving and teamwork.

- A Diploma or Certificate III/IV in Community Service will be highly regarded.

About Us:

National Joblink (NJL) is a not-for-profit organisation serving local communities for over 30 years throughout TAS and QLD. Today we provide a suite of services under the framework of Workforce Australia, are a specialised RTO, have a successful training restaurant in Cairns, a Cafe in Launceston and provide outdoor activities at our Tarkine Wilderness Lodge and a National Driving School.

A current driver's licence and reliable car is required and as a Child Safe Organisation you will currently hold (or willing to obtain) a valid Working with Children Check and ability to pass a Criminal History Check.
