About the role Lumus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Radiographer to join their team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside, Chermside, working as an MRI Modality Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the MRI modality, ensuring high-quality patient care and excellent service delivery.

This is a busy tertiary hospital site operating 7 days per week, with participation in morning and afternoon shifts, as well as a rotating weekend and on-call roster.

What you'll get to do





- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the MRI department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to radiographers and other staff members

- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery

- Manage departmental stock control, including ordering, inventory monitoring, and maintaining appropriate stock levels to support clinical operations
- Support the management of staff rosters and timecards, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked, leave, and payroll-related information for the MRI team

Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Imaging or a related field
- Postgraduate qualifications in MRI or a related field, highly desirable
- Current registration with the relevant professional body

- Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in an MRI department
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in MRI, including equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills,



with the ability to motivate and inspire team members

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centred care and service delivery
