About Always Available
Always Available is an NDIS provider based on the Gold Coast. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate support services to individuals with disabilities under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Position: Support Worker
As a Support Worker at Always Available, you will play an important role in assisting individuals with disabilities to live independent and meaningful lives. Your passion for helping others will contribute to supporting participants in achieving their goals, building confidence, and developing essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred supports in line with the participant's goals, support plans, and Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities where required.
- Support community access, recreational activities, and social participation.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and skill development in everyday tasks.
- Promote the participant's safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.
- Implement behaviour support strategies in a calm, respectful, and proactive manner.
- Administer medication (where appropriately trained and authorised).
- Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the participant's family, allied health professionals, and the Always Available team.
Requirements
Essential
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher) OR Nursing background.
- Genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to build rapport with participants, families, and the community.
- Compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach to care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Highly Regarded
- Experience supporting participants with ABI and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience with personal care and manual handling.
- Flexibility to work long shifts, weekends, sleepovers, and overnight supports.
