Position Overview

Secures enterprise information through event monitoring and analysis of potential incidents across the organisation.

Assists with designing, evaluating, planning, implementing, testing and monitoring network security solutions.

- Position Responsibilities
- Works within IT Security and Risk Team to identify, monitor and improve cyber security risk management.
- Supports Incident Management Team in security incident investigation, resolution and prevention.
- Monitors assets to find anomalies, indicators of compromise and other potentially adverse events.
- Aids the scheduled security scans, reviews and compliance testing to ensure adherence to information security policies, standards and procedures.
- Identifies and resolves false positive findings reported by information security tool




- Assesses security controls and evaluates the security posture of organisational internal controls.
- Ensures that network and security systems are secure and maintained by:
- Protecting the network from malicious entities such as hackers, viruses and malware via SIEM and log monitoring;
- Ensuring the upgrade and maintenance of network protection solutions in accordance with patching cycles, vulnerabilities and advisories.
- Assist with preventing expansion of a security incident and restoration activities once the issue has been analysed and the threat isolated.
- Works with the Testing Services Team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
- Maintains a watching brief on existing and emerging technologies to ensure currency of knowledge and to anticipate possible impact on the company.
- Contributes to continuous improvement and innovation in all activities, including maximisation of opportunities to harness technology to optimise productivity.
- Actively works within a supportive team environment that embraces collaboration, change, innovation and quality customer service.
- Contributes to a positive work workplace that reflects the values of the company.
