About the role The NSW Service Manager is responsible for leading the service operations of Environmental Automation across Recent South Wales. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service, technical support, preventive maintenance, reactive service and minor works for Building Management Systems and associated smart building technologies. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, team performance, customer satisfaction, contract compliance and business growth while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and profitability.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the NSW Service Team to achieve operational and financial objectives.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet customer service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.
- Oversee preventive maintenance, reactive service, breakdown response and minor projects.
- Monitor service performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage subcontractor performance and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, facility managers and building owners.
- Act as the senior escalation point for service-related issues.
- Manage the NSW service budget, revenue, gross margin and profitability targets.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance regarding Building Management Systems (BMS),
HVAC controls and automation, energy management solutions, fault detection and diagnostics, and remote monitoring solutions.
- Recruit, mentor, coach and develop service personnel.
About you
- Proven experience managing a technical service team within building automation, HVAC controls, BMS, electrical, mechanical, facilities management, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of building automation systems and smart building technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing field-based technical teams.
- Excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing service contracts and service delivery performance.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Trade qualification in Electrical, HVAC, Controls or Engineering.
