- Temporary part-time (49.6 hours per fortnight) until 7.2.27. Required working days Monday, Tuesday & Thursday + 1:4 weekend shift

About the Role The successful applicant will carry a clinical acute neuro caseload with a small cohort of general medical patients. There are opportunities for collaborative teamwork including participation in a daily multidisciplinary discharge planning meeting. The role oversees the supervision of a Gr 1 Occupational Therapist within the Clinical Rotation Program. The role also supports the upskilling of acute Occupational Therapists for neuro assessments/intervention planning and also supports the learning and development of Allied Health Assistants. The role includes a 1:4 weekend shift requirement.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy care, independently managing a clinical caseload and providing assessment, treatment, care planning and evaluation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide clinical leadership and develop others, supporting junior clinicians and students through supervision, mentoring, knowledge sharing and participation in service initiatives.
- Drive quality improvement and evidence-based practice, contributing to research, clinical projects, risk management, service improvement, documentation and professional development.




- Provide safe, ethical and culturally responsive care, working in accordance with professional standards, legislation and Barwon Health policies while promoting inclusion, health literacy and effective use of resources.

What we’re looking for

- Current professional registration/accreditation and demonstrated clinical experience, with the capability to practise independently and support the professional development of others.
- Solid communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, navigate challenging situations and work successfully within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice, demonstrated through reflective practice, continuous learning and application of knowledge to clinical practice.
- Strong digital capability and alignment with Barwon Health values, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while delivering inclusive, culturally safe and consumer-focused care.
