About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Malaga, WA 6090. This is a part-time position offering flexibility whilst maintaining meaningful impact. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals regain independence, improve their functional abilities and enhance their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation programmes.
This position is integral to our healthcare service delivery, enabling us to provide comprehensive occupational therapy support to our diverse client base.

Key responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans based on client goals and clinical findings
- Providing direct occupational therapy interventions including activities of daily living (ADL) training, mobility assistance and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic client care
- Monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise outcomes
- Educating clients and their families on adaptive strategies, self-management techniques and rehabilitation exercises
- Liaising with external providers, healthcare professionals and community services to support client transitions and continuity of care
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with relevant regulations and organisational policies
What we're looking for
- Current registration with APHRA
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or recognised equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience in occupational therapy practice, ideally within rehabilitation, aged care or community health settings
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse client populations and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in client assessment tools and outcome measurement instruments commonly used in occupational therapy
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment, assistive technology and environmental modifications
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) and appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- A genuine passion for client-centred care and commitment to promoting independence and wellbeing
