About the role The Operations and Projects Coordinator (OPC) is responsible for the delivery of effective and professional business and operational support to the legal practice groups at Swaab and ensures the service provided by the Operations Team meet the quality standards and expectations of stakeholders within the Firm. The OPC is responsible for ISO 9001 quality management, including refining systems and operational initiatives in accordance with Firm strategy to promote quality output, consistency, continual improvement and efficiency.
This will be a broad role and once trained, your responsibilities will include:
- ISO 9001 and quality compliance
- team leadership and management
- facilities management including budgeting and premises
- risk management
- continuous improvement
- general operational requirements including coordination of project work as required
Skills & Experience We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations and Projects Coordinator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations and Strategy, this role supports key projects and operational initiatives across the firm.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start their career in a dynamic professional services environment. You will be self-motivated, reliable and be able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with the team. You will receive full training across all areas of responsibility. The role will suit a candidate who is hungry to learn, grow and progress into a leadership role down the track.
To be successful in the role,
you will have experience and skills in the following areas:
- a degree or equivalent qualification in business, management, or a related field
- an interest in operations and project coordination, ideally with some exposure through internships, placements, or academic projects
- exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines and prioritise effectively
- a problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions and support change
- act as a role model to the team, encouraging collaboration and ensuring high standards are maintained
- high proficiency in analysing and optimising operational processes and systems
- strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and maintain positive working relationships
- knowledge of Microsoft Office
