Description
We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As an Operations Regulatory Reporting Officer, you'll support the delivery of important regulatory reporting obligations across a range of government and industry bodies.
You'll help ensure reporting activities are completed accurately and on time, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance compliance, efficiency, and member outcomes.
You'll collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, monitor changes to regulatory requirements, support risk management activities, and help maintain robust reporting processes and controls. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your knowledge of superannuation, legislation, and regulatory reporting within one of Australia's leading superannuation funds.
This role is available as both a permanent and max term/secondment opportunity and is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and within legislated timeframes
- Support regulatory reporting obligations across Operations and the broader Group
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and clarify requirements
- Monitor changes in regulatory obligations and update reporting processes accordingly
- Maintain comprehensive records of regulatory submissions and correspondence
- Identify, assess and mitigate regulatory reporting risks
- Develop, implement and review controls to ensure ongoing compliance
- Conduct audits and reviews of reporting processes
- Provide advice, training and support to stakeholders on regulatory reporting requirements
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes, systems and efficiency
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment
Qualifications
It goes without saying you'll be a excellent communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You have strong knowledge of superannuation legislation, products, and services.
- Your ability to interpret legislation allows you to provide practical guidance and support.
- You'll bring proven analytical and problem-solving skills when resolving technical issues.
- You're experienced in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- You can identify, assess, and appropriately escalate risks within a regulatory environment.
- Your stakeholder engagement skills enable you to build positive working relationships.
- You'll demonstrate excellent time management and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- You're adaptable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
