About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Passive Fire Technician to join a growing and established fire protection business in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician looking to build a long-term career within the passive fire industry, working across a variety of commercial, industrial and high-rise projects.

You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing and installing passive fire protection systems, ensuring all works are completed to Australian Standards, project specifications and relevant compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, inspect, maintain and repair passive fire protection systems.
- Carry out passive fire inspections and identify defects or areas requiring rectification.
- Complete fire stopping works including penetration sealing, fire collars, fire-rated sealants and other passive fire systems.
- Conduct fire door inspections, repairs and maintenance where required.
- Complete remedial and rectification works across commercial and industrial sites.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, manufacturers' specifications and project requirements.
- Complete service reports, inspection documentation and photographic records accurately.
- Liaise professionally with clients, builders, site managers and other contractors.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship,



safety and customer service.
- Work independently and as part of a wider team.

About You

- Previous experience working within the passive fire protection industry.
- Knowledge of passive fire systems, fire stopping and fire-rated construction.
- Experience with fire doors, penetrations, fire collars and fire-rated sealants is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and passive fire compliance requirements.
- Ability to read plans and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs.
- Full Australian driver's licence.
- White Card.
- Relevant passive fire qualifications or training would be highly regarded.
