Your new company A well-established West Australian business supporting major mining and energy organisations is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their growing finance team. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in stabilising and improving payroll processes while supporting a large, diverse workforce.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities
Managing high-volume weekly and fortnightly payrolls
Interpreting and applying multiple awards and EBA conditions
Processing FIFO allowances including meal and travel allowances
Ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance and timely delivery
Managing payroll queries and stakeholder communication
Identifying process improvements and supporting system optimisation
Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting
What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will possess:
Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience in a complex setting
Experience managing multiple awards and high-volume payrolls
Exposure to large ERP systems is highly desirable.
Alternatively, strong experience using large ERP payroll systems
Understanding of casual, permanent and FIFO workforce payroll requirements
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills A collaborative, team-focused approach
