About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to manage the accurate, timely and confidential processing of payroll for 300 employees across the College. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this important role is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, the Enterprise Agreement, College policies and payroll procedures.
Working collaboratively with the Finance team and People & Culture, you will maintain payroll integrity, respond to staff payroll enquiries, and contribute to continuous improvement in payroll processes.

About you
You are an experienced payroll professional with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and customer service. Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities, you bring proven experience working across multiple payroll systems and confidently navigate complex payroll environments.
Ideally, you have a background in the education sector and a sound understanding of relevant payroll legislation, industrial awards and enterprise agreements. You are a collaborative team member who enjoys building positive relationships, providing trusted advice, and delivering payroll outcomes that support both employees and organisational success.
