Purpose-Led Christian Organisation

⚡ Bring your HR experience and Christian faith together in a role with purpose

We’re partnering with a well-established Christian education organisation in Melbourne’s West to find a People & Culture Administrator to join their warm and supportive P&C; team.

Supporting approximately 500 employees across two campuses, this is a broad, hands-on HR opportunity covering everything from contracts and onboarding through to recruitment, HRIS, compliance and employee queries.

If you have a couple of years’ Australian HR experience and are looking for a role where you can continue developing while making a genuine contribution, this could be a excellent next step.

Importantly, Christian faith is at the heart of this organisation and its community. The successful person will have an active Christian faith and genuinely value the opportunity to bring their professional experience into an environment that shares their values.

Supporting and abiding by the organisation’s Christian foundations, ethos and practice is an inherent requirement of the position.

? What you'll be doing

You'll become an important part of the People & Culture team, supporting employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle.

Your day-to-day will include:

- Preparing employment contracts, letters and P&C; documentation

- Coordinating onboarding, inductions and new starter processes

- Supporting recruitment, including advertising, screening, interview coordination and reference checks

- Maintaining accurate employee information within the HRIS

- Supporting employee commencements, changes and exits

- Managing the P&C; inbox and responding to employee and leader queries

- Administering staff compliance and online learning requirements

- Running HRIS and compliance reports and following up outstanding requirements

- Supporting WorkCover administration

- Maintaining and improving HR templates, documentation and processes

- Providing broader administrative support across the P&C; function

There's also an opportunity to improve how things are done. The function is continuing to evolve, so you'll be encouraged to bring ideas, introduce greater structure and help improve processes along the way.

? What we're looking for

You'll ideally bring

- Around 2 years' HR / People & Culture experience in Australia

- Practical experience across HR administration and the employee lifecycle
- A sound understanding of Australian employment practices, including the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards

- Experience preparing employment documentation and coordinating onboarding

- Strong organisation and attention to detail

- Confidence juggling competing priorities and deadlines

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, helpful and service-oriented approach
- An active Christian faith and genuine alignment with the organisation's Christian ethos and values

- Ability to meet child safety and pre-employment screening requirements, including an Employee Working with Children Check and National Police Check

Experience with HRIS platforms, recruitment administration, HR reporting,

compliance or WorkCover would be highly regarded.

An HR qualification such as a Certificate IV in Human Resources or similar would also be beneficial.

Education experience isn't essential. We're very open to HR professionals coming from other industries who are excited by the opportunity to work within Christian education.

? Why consider this opportunity?

- Bring together your HR career and Christian faith

- Gain broad exposure across the employee lifecycle

- Join a genuinely warm, collaborative and service-focused P&C; team – bonus points if you love good food as much as they do!

- Work within an organisation where faith, purpose and service are genuinely embedded in the culture

- Join a P&C; function at an exciting stage of its development

- Have the opportunity to improve processes and ways of working

- Permanent, stable opportunity

- Additional benefits including discounted school fees and FBT/salary packaging benefits

- Werribee location, particularly convenient for HR professionals living in Melbourne's West or the Geelong corridor

? A note on location

This position is based onsite in Werribee five days per week.

We want to be transparent about this upfront – there isn't a hybrid arrangement attached to the position. For someone based in Melbourne's West or the Geelong corridor, however, it could mean finally having an HR opportunity much closer to home.

Interested?

If you're looking for an opportunity where you can continue developing your HR career, contribute to a growing People & Culture function and work within a Christian community that genuinely aligns with your values, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now for a confidential conversation.

All applications will be reviewed as they are received.
