About the Opportunity
Our client, a purpose-led not-for-profit, is looking for an experienced People & Culture Coordinator/Advisor to join their wonderful and supportive HR team. This is a hands-on, administration-focused role where you'll act as the first point of contact for HR queries across the organisation, while supporting the People & Culture Manager with the day-to-day delivery of HR programs and initiatives.
The organisation offers genuine flexibility - this role can be structured as 4 or 5 days per week, with 2 days onsite and the remainder worked from home.
They're after someone genuine and down-to-earth - a real people person who's approachable, well-organised, and happy to roll up their sleeves and get things done.
About the Role
Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you'll provide operational and administrative HR support across the employee lifecycle, including:
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries from employees and people leaders
- Preparing and administering employment contracts, variation letters, and HR correspondence
- Maintaining accurate employee records across HR systems and file repositories
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding, including drafting ads, coordinating interviews, and managing new starter paperwork
- Coordinating the performance review cycle, extracting HRIS data and supporting managers with reporting
- Assisting with policy and procedure development and maintenance
- Supporting learning and development logistics, including vendor coordination and training records
- Maintaining data integrity for payroll checks and HRIS reporting
- Contributing to OHS/Wellbeing initiatives and compliance requirements
- Supporting broader HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed
About You
- Strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Confident acting as a first point of contact, with a qualified, approachable and down-to-earth manner
- Genuine and relatable, with the ability to build trust and rapport with people at all levels
- Prior experience in an HR administration, coordination or advisory capacity
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline (desirable)
- Sound understanding of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
- High attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved across a broad range of HR functions
- Comfortable working with HR systems/HRIS and general IT tools
