Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for physics experts to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models being developed by the world's leading AI research labs. Your deep understanding of physics will directly shape how AI reasons through complex scientific problems — from undergraduate fundamentals to graduate-level challenges. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for physics professionals and graduate students who want to contribute to meaningful, frontier AI work on their own schedule.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design rigorous, original physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more
Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate precise logical reasoning
Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
Identify gaps, errors, and weaknesses in how AI models approach physics problems
Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level topics
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule Who You Are Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
Robust problem-solving ability across multiple advanced physics domains
Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
Detail-oriented with a structured approach to evaluation and feedback
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, evaluation systems, or academic assessment
Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts
