Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital
Join St John of God Frankston Hospital as a Casual Grade 1 or Grade 2 Physiotherapist within our Exercise Rehabilitation Unit, where you’ll play an important role in supporting patients through their rehabilitation journey and helping them achieve meaningful health and wellbeing outcomes.
Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services across assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. You’ll have the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships with patients while working alongside experienced health professionals in a supportive clinical environment.
You will deliver clinical physiotherapy services across rehabilitation programs, with responsibilities aligned to classification level. Grade 1 Physiotherapists work under appropriate supervision, building clinical skills and experience, while Grade 2 Physiotherapists demonstrate greater expertise and autonomy, contributing to service development, education, quality improvement, research, and the supervision of junior staff and students.

The Position In this role, you will:
Provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to patients and clients.
Deliver individualised exercise rehabilitation programs that support patients to achieve their functional and health goals.
Provide hydrotherapy treatments, where applicable, and contribute to the development of appropriate rehabilitation programs.
Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, actively participating in team meetings and contributing to comprehensive patient care.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, multidisciplinary colleagues and internal and external stakeholders.
Utilise evidence-based patient outcome measures, patient feedback and quality assurance processes to monitor and improve clinical outcomes.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, statistical reporting and other administrative requirements associated with patient care.
Participate in the physiotherapy department's weekend roster, where required.
Contribute to staff meetings, professional development activities and education sessions.
For Grade 2 applicants, contribute to clinical education, research and quality improvement initiatives, including the supervision and mentoring of students and junior clinicians.
Maintain your professional knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and continuing professional development activities.
Promote a positive culture of safety and wellbeing and demonstrate a strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety.
What you bring To be successful in this role, you will hold current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist and have experience working within a healthcare, rehabilitation or disability services environment.
You will ideally have
Recent experience providing physiotherapy services within a relevant clinical setting.
Experience in exercise rehabilitation and/or rehabilitation-focused physiotherapy.
Experience providing hydrotherapy treatments, where applicable.
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning and documentation skills.
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to evidence-based practice and achieving positive patient outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
For Grade 2, you will also demonstrate strong clinical experience, professional autonomy and the ability to contribute to clinical leadership, education, supervision, mentoring and service improvement.

We can offer you
Grade 1: $46.02 - $63.63 per hour, including casual loading, plus 12% superannuation.
Grade 2: $61.98 – $74.12 per hour, including casual loading, plus 12% superannuation.
Casual employment with flexible opportunities.
