Lachlan Shire Council is seeking a motivated Plant Operator Level 3 - Backhoe to join our Roads team!
Based in Condobolin but working across the entire shire, this full-time position is responsible for the operation of the backhoe, working with a variety of gangs and conducting general labouring duties from plant operation, truck driving and concrete works.
About You To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence (or willing to obtain within 3 months)
- The ability to safely operate a Backhoe
- Previous work related experience
- Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
- Good communication & customer service skills
- Good literacy skills
- Knowledge of plant maintenance
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.

- Salary range: $2,315.14 to $2,488.78 per fortnight
- Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Position classified at Grade 5 within Council's Salary Structure.
- Employment conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
