Primary Tutors (Years 1–6)
- Mathematics, English — Australian Curriculum and extension.
- NAPLAN preparation for Years 3 and 5.
- GATE (Gifted and Talented) test preparation — reading comprehension, writing, quantitative reasoning and abstract reasoning.
- Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) enrichment, Middle and Upper Primary divisions.
Lower Secondary Tutors (Years 7–10)
- Mathematics, English, Science and HASS, with a focus on building the foundation for ATAR Methods, Specialist, Physics Chemistry, English and Literature.
- NAPLAN preparation for Years 7 and 9.
- AMC, WAJO and AIMO coaching for students ready to be stretched.
ATAR Tutors (Years 11–12)
- Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist, Mathematics Applications.
- Physics, Chemistry, Human Biology.
- ATAR English, Literature, EALD.
- Accounting, Economics, Japanese (Second Language).
What you will actually do
- Teach small group classes of up to 12 students, and/or one-on-one sessions.
- Work from our structured, in-house curriculum.
- Handpick in-class and take-home exercises to match each student’s specific strengths and gaps.
- Give regular feedback on students' performance so progress is visible and trackable.
- Flag early when a student is struggling, and work with the team on a plan rather than waiting for the report.
Who we are looking for
Academic bar:
- ATAR 97.00 or above for Primary and Years 7–10 teaching;
- ATAR 99.00 or above, with a strong scaled score in the specific subject, for ATAR Years 11–12 teaching.
Equivalent evidence of top-tier performance, such as a General Exhibition, Subject Certificate of Excellence, Course Award, or national/international olympiad selection, is also welcome for competition and extension roles.
Just as significant:
- You can explain a concept three different ways when the first two do not land.
Knowing the answer is not the job; making it clear is.
- Patience and warmth with younger students. Our most requested primary tutors are the ones children actually look forward to seeing.
- Reliability. Families plan their week around these sessions.
Nice to have:
- Current university study in Medicine, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Law.
- Prior tutoring, coaching, mentoring or classroom experience.
- Competition background — AMC, AIMO, WAJO, AMO, ICAS, Big Science, Informatics olympiads.
- Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese or another community language, for parent communication.
