We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Principal Policy Officer to lead and facilitate activities to develop and deliver cutting-edge and best practice data strategy and policy.

The Strategic Policy team within Digital Investment and Strategy, Data and Digital Government are seeking an experienced and passionate Principal Policy Officer.

The Principal Policy Officer will work across the department and the Queensland Government to support the growth of Queensland's digital economy, foster digital inclusion and participation, drive digital government innovation and transformation and enable the delivery of modern and responsive services to Queenslanders.

A detailed knowledge of Cabinet process and decision making, while not mandatory, will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities Of This Role Include





- Develop and set priorities within agreed parameters and approved work and project plans to lead development of best practice data and digital policy for Queensland.
- Lead, and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders within Queensland government, industry and the community to develop innovative data and digital policy and strategy.
- Develop engagement and communication strategies with government agencies and other stakeholders to promote awareness and encourage participation in data and digital policy and strategy.
- Lead and contribute to the development of timely and well researched submissions, briefing notes, legislation, presentations, speeches, publications, reports and correspondence Represent the Branch, the Division or the Department as required at inter-departmental and inter-governmental meetings.
