12-Month Contract | Bendigo, VIC | Attractive Daily Rates | Australian Citizenship Required Your new company A leading organisation within Australia's advanced manufacturing and defence sector is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to drive the delivery of strategic capital projects from concept through to operational handover. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving manufacturing capability, process efficiency, and operational performance within a highly regulated environment. Based on sourced role requirements, the position focusses on capital project delivery, process improvement, commissioning, and technical leadership.

Your recent role

As the Lead Process Engineer, you will take ownership of capital projects that support manufacturing and industrial operations. You'll work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and HSE teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading capital projects from initial concept through design, commissioning, testing and handover.
- Developing and optimising manufacturing, testing and maintenance processes.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across production environments
- Providing technical support to operations and maintenance teams to resolve complex production challenges.
- Managing commissioning,



validation and performance testing activities for new equipment and infrastructure.
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Coaching and mentoring engineers and operational personnel.

What you'll need to succeed

- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects within a manufacturing, industrial, defence, mining, automotive or heavy engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of process engineering, commissioning, manufacturing systems and production improvement.
- Experience implementing Lean, TPM, PDCA or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments with a strong focus on safety and compliance
