Role Description This part-time, remote Procurement Specialist / Supply Chain Analyst role supports the lab’s research and development activities by ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of tools, data, and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring demand for project resources, coordinating with vendors, and managing purchase orders and deliveries.

The role involves analyzing supply chain data, identifying risks, and optimizing inventory levels to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The specialist will collaborate with researchers and project managers to forecast needs, track budgets, and maintain accurate documentation of procurement and supply chain activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Demand Planning and Inventory Management to forecast resource needs and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret supply chain data,



assess vendor performance, and support decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with project teams, vendors, and administrative staff.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Supply Chain Operations to manage procurement processes, logistics coordination, and vendor relationships.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain analysis; familiarity with spreadsheets or data tools; and attention to detail.
- Preferred qualifications include coursework or a degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field; experience in research or academic environments; and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
